The third week of camp I had Temple Baptist Church as my church. All the children from Temple had already made professions of faith. My lost camper ended up being from Sulphur Springs Baptist Church (which was one of my churches last summer.) I was really worried I would not have time to talk with her because I was lifeguarding all afternoon and she wasn’t in my Bible study.
However, Wednesday morning, Mrs. Helen, from Temple, told me they were having devotions with Sulphur Springs. It was an answered prayer! That night after devotions, I pulled my camper to the side and shared my testimony. When I finished, she looked at me and told me how she had been saved when she was 8 but she went on to explain she had been going through really hard time.
She said, “It was the same thing that happened with you.” I got to pray with her, give her support, and Godly advice. It was wonderful watching God open doors for me to share with her and encourage her.
