So do you stutter? Moses did, too!
During one week at camp, there was a little boy named John* who stuttered badly. It was obvious just from speaking to him for the first time that he had a huge heart and many things on his mind, but he got easily frustrated with himself because he couldn't put all of those things in his mind into a flowing sentence of words. After spending the week talking to him and getting to know him, I felt led to talk to him about his stuttering on the last night of camp. As I sat outside of his cabin with him, he told me that he was often bullied by the kids at his school and that he was afraid to speak in front of his class. I told John about Moses and how he had difficulty with stuttering and how God used what Moses thought was a burden and turned it into something really great, and I told John that God can use him and his stuttering in the same way. I still remember seeing his face light up as he began to realize that his stuttering can actually be seen as an awesome gift from God rather than a weight that had been placed on his shoulders.
