Ashley and Janna had shared with their lost campers one Thursday afternoon but there were distractions after distractions. They walked away alittle discouraged. However, Thursday night as the campers came downstairs, Ashley hurried to my side to tell me how each of their lost campers had come home that night. Ashley and Janna were excited about these girls saying ‘Yes’ to Jesus’ knocking on their hearts. They didn’t care when the girls answered Jesus’ call but they did care if the girls did answer His call. Sometimes, Jesus wants someone’s salvation to be a “Jesus’ thing not a ‘me’ thing.
A whole year had passed since I had seen her. I didn’t even recognize her face. The girl I prayed with last year had disappeared. No, she had been transformed. Last year, she was broken emotionally, lost and isolated. This year she was healthy, engaged in the world around her and smiling. What a difference Jesus can make in a year!
What do you need Jesus to transform in your life? Will you yield it to Him?
