![]() During Youth Mission week, I had an awesome church and every night in devotions, everyone was very involved. Each person had things to share every night. Then on Wednesday night, a girl shared that she got saved and that she had just been going through the motions of Christianity, this caused everyone else in the group to open up about the personal lives and a couple of girls shared that they would forgive their abusive dads. It goes to show no matter how put together someone may look, his or her lives may be a mess and we all need God in our life.

Thank you, to everyone who came to workday this past Saturday! Many improvements have been made all over camp and we are so grateful. Your work will enable children to FOCUS on our Lord and Savior this summer, and we can't think of anything more important. We got a few pictures, and wanted to share a glimpse of the progress. These are the future walls of the dry cooler, where we store most of the food for our summer campers. We need a group to put them up and a group to paint them. If you would be interested in this project, please call Caleb at 828-437-8788 or e-mail caleb@southmountainbaptistcamp.com. Thanks for making it possible to help campers learn to follow Jesus!
I just love hanging out at the pool with the kids. On week 6, there was a little girl named Kelsey. She was about 6 years old and so tiny. She was going off the diving board before me. She kept asking me to do what she did but I had to wait until she was out of the water and gave me the thumbs up. It was really special to have that time with her. I love to try to be there with the kids and hang out with them. And the kids love it.
