This year my favorite moment was the third week of camp on a Thursday night. On this particular night, I felt drawn to a camper, Tim* who had made a decision. So Thomas and I sat down with his group and listened as they shared their stories.
As we continued to listen, Tim asked me, “What is it like to lose someone you love?” He continued, “My Grandpa just died.”
This was a complete God moment. My Dad died when I was younger so I knew God had placed me in this young man life to share my experience.
When Tim asked me about losing someone you love, I told him that it is always hard to lose someone, but God will always be there to help you through it. I told him that I lost my dad when I was young, and that I had found a new Father in heaven that is still with me every day.
Later that night, at campfire, I saw a young man start walking to the front to share his testimony but then turn around. As I went to comfort this camper, it was Tim. God continued to put me in his life as a comfort and support.
Who has God put in your life to comfort and support?
