My favorite moment this summer was on the third week of camp. On Thursday night after Al gave the invitation, the staff was waiting downstairs to see all the kids who made decisions walk downstairs. As they started to come downstairs, I saw one of my lost campers, Steve.* I had the opportunity to talk to him and he told me he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. I asked him who was at camp that he could share this great news. He named a couple of people and then I pointed to Mischia and asked if he would tell her. He got up, ran over, and exclaimed, “My name is Steve* and I got saved tonight.” It was awesome to see how excited he was about having Jesus in his life.

During the youth week, I went to the Soup Kitchen at BUCM with my mission group. I became closer to two of the youth in my group. Both of them really opened up to me and I had the opportunity to help then with some of their life stuff, current things they were walking through in their life. I shared with them my entire testimony and that is something I haven’t shared with a lot of people. It was a privilege to serve with them and serve them.
Makayla Radford One of my favorite moments at camp was receiving letters in the mail from my camp church from the first week of summer camp. All of the kids wrote a card thanking me and saying that they were praying for me at camp. This made me smile!
