On the third week of camp, in my first Bible study, I had a girl who did not want to do ANYTHING. Each time we paired up in groups, she didn’t want to work and she would say, “Do I have to do this?’
I said, “Yes, you need to do this.”
Then she had to answer some questions for a group activity and she said, “I don’t know the answers to these questions!”
I answered, “That’s why you’re here! So you can learn your answers are in the Bible.” But still she did not want to work.
Meanwhile in my second Bible study group, I had a young handicapped girl with leg braces and walking sticks. She walked to my class (at the Retreat Center) every day with a smile on her face and joy in her heart. Her smile was gorgeous! Every day she was an inspiration to me, because sometimes I can be lazy and not want to do anything when I am able, and I saw her wanting to do anything and everything and she couldn’t do some things. I am glad she was in my class.
